I love volunteering and giving back to the community. There’s nothing better than contributing to a worthy cause knowing that every little bit makes a big difference in someone’s life. This is what I feel every time I walk into the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.

The Ronald McDonald House of Delaware provides temporary accommodations to families of seriously ill or injured children that are receiving care at various area hospitals.

Some of these families travel far from home and need to be close to their child during their care, for love and support. Volunteers come in daily and take on many chores ie, cleaning the guest rooms and making meals for breakfast, lunch & dinner. And let’s not forget desserts and snacks for all!

Volunteering during the Christmas season is simply magical. The families get to be apart of the holiday spirit that they create. There’s a tree for everyone that’s dressed up with the most amazing lights and ornaments.

Here are just a few of the many amazing trees and decorations that were displayed this year.

This is just a small part of what they do to make families feel like it’s home away from home. Thanks to all of the donations and volunteers that keep the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware running, they can continuously assist the many families in need. I truly enjoy the many experiences I have there and if you have contributed in any capacity I’m sure you do too!
